Acceptance and Scope

IIPLA’s published terms and user agreement say that by joining, registering, or using IIPLA services, the user enters into a legally binding agreement with International Intellectual Property Law Association, Inc. The agreement incorporates the user agreement itself, the privacy policy, and any additional feature-specific terms presented at the time of use.

The official terms also explain that the platform is intended to provide IP professionals with access to trends, best practices, professional opportunities, and long-term connections across the global IP community.

Eligibility, Accounts, and Conduct

The user agreement states that users must meet the applicable minimum age, maintain a real-name account, protect their password, and follow the law and platform rules. Users are responsible for activity that occurs through their account unless misuse is reported or the account is closed.

IIPLA’s published terms also make clear that user-posted materials remain the responsibility of the posting user, while reserving IIPLA’s right to review, edit, or remove content that is unlawful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.

Payments, Content, and Liability

For paid or premium services, IIPLA’s user agreement says that users agree to pay applicable fees and taxes, authorize stored billing methods where relevant, and remain responsible for charges through the end of an applicable billing period unless cancellation terms say otherwise.

The official terms and conditions also state that materials on the site are protected by copyright, that IIPLA trademarks and logos may not be used without permission, and that IIPLA does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of site information. Links to third-party sites are provided without editorial control or responsibility for external content.

  • Users are responsible for reviewing service-specific cancellation and refund rules before purchase.
  • External sites accessed through links are outside IIPLA’s control.
  • IIPLA may update notices and service communications through the website, email, or other supplied contact channels.
